How Yoga Works is a beautiful novel about a young woman, Friday, who travels from her home in the Himalayas to ancient India to find a teacher. In the process, she is able to learn and to teach the philosophy contained in The Yoga Sutra, and to change the culture that surrounds her. Since its publication in 2005, How Yoga Works has become a best-seller at yoga studios everywhere, and has a 5-star rating on Amazon.

Katrin is the long anticipated prequel to How Yoga Works. Newly available as a paperback, it is an engaging story of the same young woman as she grows up in a small nomadic village and secretly learns and masters yoga and the Buddhist teachings. It gives a rare view of life at a monastery as well as ancient village life in a Himalayan yurt. Both books are captivating and hard to put down, suitable for all ages and interests.
